Description: Photograph of an earth dam near Kenton, OK. Dam has approx. 75,000 sq. yards of fill, approx. 2000 ft. long and will impound water over approximately 700 acres. The water will be used to irrigate 400 acres. It has a drainage area of 22.5 sections. During the dryest years there has been enough run-off water to fill the lake three times. OK-363.

Description: Photograph of Mr. Tucker's 22 head of hogs which are being fed with supplememtal feed grown bon his land irrigated by water stored up by dam constructed by SCS Water Facilities. The hog between the camera and Mr. Tucker is estimated to weigh 800 lbs.

Description: Photograph of bindweed. The control of bindweed with a 2-4-D herbicide (2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid) showing nearly a perfect kill. Only a few sprigs of bindweed are showing. Sprayed with 2-4-D at the rate of ½ pound per acre once in 1954 and once in 1955. Dorsay Sparkman is in this picture. OK-341-1.
