Grass seedlings were mulched with prairie hay that was hand spread following planting at the rate of 3 tons per acre and anchored with a tandem disc from March 15 - 17, 1967. This shows an adequate mulch cover, but demonstrates by the amount of loose hay on the surface that the tandem disc did not properly anchor this mulch. OK-2767-4.

Grass seedlings were mulched with prairie hay as manually spread following planting, at the rate of 3 tons per acre and anchored with a tandem disc plow on March 15 – 17, 1967. This shows an adequate mulch cover, but demonstrates by the amount of loose hay on the surface that the tandem disc did not properly anchor this mulch. OK-2767-4.
