Maxwell, Perry

Description: Notes taken from article in Sunday Oaklahoman, Oct. 10, 1971. Maxwell came to Ardmore from Pennsylvania to work in the banking business. Local ranchers and oil men incouraged him to construct a golf course in Ardmore. Dornick Hills is a result of a lot of time and money spent by Maxwell. He built more than 60 courses in his career, including Southern Hills in Tulsa and Twin Hills in Oaklahoma City.
