Description: Photograph of T. L. Davis using a tractor to shred 13-year-old lovegrass. The back of the photograph proclaims, "T. L. Davis shredding 13 year old lovegrass. Mr. Tims fertilizes in February with 100 lbs. of 16-20-0 fertilizer per acre and shreds the lovegrass in March. This makes the lovegrass more palatable to livestock. Description: Photograph of an experimental beef herd: one-fourth Braham and three-fourth Aberdeen Angus. Both on excellent clover pasture. Pasture seeded to 10 pounds of white clover with 2 bushels of oats, second year clover. The estimated carrying capacity is 1 1/2 to 2 animal units per acre for 90 days during the spring growing season. LA-D11-66.
