Description: Photograph of sericea Lespedeza. Sericea Lespedeza was planted in 1950 and drilled with oats and a sod drill. It will be used for hay. The sericea is growing on old cultivated land of Class III, 2% slope and Soil Unit # 6. Sixty percent of the topsoil in this field has been removed by erosion. The Soil Conservation Service recommends this type of plants rather than row crops on a field in this condition. OK-273-12.
