Description: Photograph of Blue panic grass planted on May 13, 1952. 30 head of cattle grazed on 10 acres from April to November. The Blue panic grass grew over 4 feet in height in 1955 before it received rain this year. The Soil Conservation Service [SCS] staked a pond and ordered fish from a US fish hatchery. Mr. Woodrow, shown, is a supervisor of the Kiowa County Soil Conservation District [SCD]. SCS staked terraces and grass is planted in 40-inch rows on the contour. OK-83-1.
