Drop Inlet Operating on Cloud Creek

Description: Photograph of a drop inlet on Cloud Creek watershed operating after a 4. 6 inch rain in 4 hours. This drop inlet is above Detention Reservoir No. 1. Very little of the one inch flood storage was used. A 48 inch pipe is through the dam and the 280 acre drainage area had good land treatment on it.

Description: Photograph of a view east across top of detention reservoir No. 1 on Cloud Creek. The 3 trucks at the pool of water are sprinkler equipped. Owned by the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, the trucks were used to keep down dust on sandy roads during the dedication ceremonies on the upstream flood control structures. OK-9619.

Description: Photograph of a follow-up of a roadside drop-inlet flood control structure adjoining the Sid Lundy farm. The structure was built where formerly a dangerous wooden bridge spanned a gully on a school bus and mail route. County Commissioners furnished the pipe and the Soil Conservation District put in a fill through the Soil Conservation Service Flood Control program. The permanent basin is full of water. OK-9600-D.
