Water Diversion

Description: Photograph of a water diversion completed in Oct. 1959. Farmer is preparing seed bed for rye grass now. He plans to sod with bermuda grass in spring of 1960. This diversion was constructed to take care of a 200 acre drainage.

Wave Action Damage

Description: Photograph of the front slope of a floodwater retarding structure showing wave action damage. E. L. Castle, WUC, Lindsay. Spillway cut in background shows erosion from hard rains in Oct. & Nov. Bermudagrass planted 2-28-59. Irrigated immediately after planting. Moisture favorable during most of growing season. Subjected to grazing since June. Weeds mowed 8-20-59.
