Caption: "This pile of debris in the sunken garden of the statehouse was all that was left Thursday of an oil derrick which collapsed during the lunch exodus of capitol office workers. The well is (was) the No. 10 Capital of the Sunray Oil Co. A "deadman" holding a pulley block which suspended 6,500 feet of rod in the well gave way, throwing an uneven weight suddenly on the derrick structure causing it to crumple."
