Description: Studio photograph of Henry Edward Asp who was born in 1856 and died in 1923. Asp was an Attorney admitted to the Kansas Bar in 1877, and established a law firm with John W. Shartel and James R. Cottingham in Guthrie, Oklahoma Territory in 1892. He was a solicitor and lobbyist for Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway between the years of 1890 and 1907, and was instrumental in founding the Norman Territorial University which would become the University of Oklahoma.
