Description: Photograph of flood storage. Flood storage in Site # 25, Calvary Watershed. This site has a drainage area of 640 acres, 158 acre-feet of floodwater storage and 18 inches outfall pipe. An 8 inch rain occurred above this site on the morning of August 19, 1961. The storage water level was approximately 3 feet below emergency spillway crest. No flooding or scouring occurred below this site. OK-1438-10.

Description: Photograph of grassed channel, Site 29, Cavalry Watershed above this channel has approximately 117 acre-feet of water stored from an 8 inch rain that fell on Aug. 19, 1961. Water is being discharged slowly through the outfall pipe into the grassed channel of midland Bermuda grass, below. The grassed channel provides good drainage at all times and there is no scour or sediment drainage. OK-1438-2.

Drop Inlet Structure

Description: Photograph of flood storage water from Site 29, Cavalry Watershed flown into this drop inlet structure from grassed channel as shown in OK-1438-2 and is dropped safely into the creek channel. Drop inlet was constructed by the DCCC approximately 25 years ago and still functions properly.
