Description: Photograph of a low must be present to successfully drain wet areas. This drain is well constructed but there is not a suitable outlet area. When Cache Creek drainage project under Public Law 566 is completed, a suitable outlet will be available. Soil Conservation Service [SCS] has technical responsibilities of PL-566. OK-1259-9.

Description: Photograph of dixie crimson clover planted in the fall of 1947. There was a good seed crop produced in the spring of 1948 but no seeds were harvested. The crop was harvested in the spring of 1949 producing about 126 pounds per acre. The crop had fallen down when the picture was made on May 6, 1949. The crop was windrowed and combined on May 18, 1949. The clover was fertilized with 200 pounds of 20 % superphosphate per acre at the time of the planting. Group 5, B.L. TX-45-506.

The cropland is sericea meadow that was planted in the spring of 1949. 150 pounds of superphosphate applied at planting times. 200 pounds of rock phosphate applied in the spring of 1952. Description: Photograph of Suitor fescue. Planting made during the latter part of September 1947. Fifty pounds of seed were furnished by the Soil Conservation Service with five acres planted. No. 6 soil. About 200 pounds of 3-9-18 fertilizer were used on the five acres. Approximately 200 pounds of seed were harvested in the summer of 1948. It is believed that twice as much seed would have been harvested had it not been for a heavy rain two days before the harvest. AR-61-224.

Tom McLin is pointing out the cross-section area of the terrace and showing debris where the water height appeared.
