Bermudagrass Waterway

Description: Photograph of a waterway which was established in 1952 and the average width is 54 ft. It was originally a natural drain that was shaped and planted to Bermudagrass. It is designed to handle the runoff from approximately 80 acres. Terraces now spill into the waterway. On the left is shown the end of a strip of Kafir and almum sorghum mixture to be cut for silage.

Farming Equipment and Methods

Description: Photograph of terraces. Constructing terraces with two, three bottom plows. This picture shows completed terraces as the 16 round was being made. This terrace is approximately 1000 feet long. It checked out 1.2 settled, height of ridge cross section of channel is 16 sq. ft. Ridge is 20 ft. from channel to toe on back side. OK-745-12.
