Caption: "Ardmore was described as a "powder keg" Friday night after 13 more burglary charges were filed against city commissioner and local businessman Joe Taylor, 51, in connection with the operations of a 3-state burglary ring. Charges were filed in Garvin Co. Tuesday, to go along with multiple charges in Wichita Co., Texas. Taylor has reportedly gone into hiding with armed guards, and the state crime bureau agent who investigated and smashed the burglary ring, Hubert Bartlett, was also placed under guard in his Ardmore home after threats against him. (Taylor was later acquitted, or charges dismissed, in every count.)"
