Drop Inlet Structure for Sediment Control

Description: Photograph of drop inlet type structure with flood water diversion for sediment control. Drainage area 50 acres. Flood water and sediment from te badly gullied area is brought into the pont (#113) by floodwater diversion from the left. Here the sediment is trapped in the pond and the clear water is drawn off the top 3 ft. (of the pond) through a 15" drop inlet type of metal pipe. Additional work above the diversion was done by enthusiastic farmers. Property line (trees) runs through pond.
