The 14-year-old president of the Junior MacDowell club is also a member of the Oklahoma City Junior Symphony Orchestra. She was taught to play the violin by her grandmother, Mrs. Robert H. Sherman (seated), who also taught violin to Karen's mother, Mrs. Beverly Busch (standing at right).
