Grass, Legume and Forb Cultivation

Description: Photograph of native grass pasture overgrazed. Native grass pasture overgrazed with additional drought damage. Soil Conservation program started in 1941 on this farm. Until recently this ranch was one of our examples of proper use. Droughts of 1954, 1955 and 1956 reduced the carrying capacity of the range so that it is now badly overgrazed. Mrs. J. H. Carlock, Ardmore is the owner. Roy Skaggs is the foreman-operator. OK-389-2.
