Description: Photograph of Tom Lucas and an excellent crop of Kefir corn on contour in a former 5 acre area of severely gullied natural draw where the owner had never planted a crop. An erosion control dam was constructed across the draw in 1957 and in two years the land was producing crops. To date the draw has silted approximately by 5 feet, says Mr. Lucas. OK-8909
