Photograph used for a story in the Oklahoma Times newspaper. Caption: "Mary Karns, 1427 S Lenora, was discovered bloody and battered, lying in a weed-filled ditch 2-1/2 miles east of Moore. She had been scalped from eyebrow to the nape of her neck. Cleveland County Attorney Hez Bussey identified the suspects as Louis Jay Ford, 17, and Richard Rhett Bell, 17. The brutal scalping of the 23-year-old Del City waitress was May 26."
