Description: Photograph of a silt deposit caused by flood. The 5 or 6" rain Sept. 26, 1959 caused hundreds of silt deposit areas on tributaries of Red Rock Creek. This silt deposit area is in a field which is located 3/4 miles below a proposed detention dam site.

Flood Prevention on the Washita River
