Mike didn't get much response in his home county, Okmulgee, and then petitioned the home of his grandfather, O. H. Whitt, who is assistant county attorney there."

Sheriff Dee Sanders Friday entered a not guilty plea to a charge of second-degree rape and posted $2,500 bond. Preliminary hearing has been set for Feb. 13. Sanders was charged with the crime in Latimer Co. Thursday on a complaint from a 15-year-old bride of four days who charged Sanders assaulted her in a cabin at Robbers Cave State Park. Meanwhile, his wife has drawn a divorce suit filed six months ago."
