A Shawnee mechanic whose driver's license had been suspended crashed Thursday into a railroad underpass support at 3200 E Reno after a state trooper had tried to arrest him. The small coupe above was nearly demolished. Officers said the mechanic, Virgil Wade, 36, forced two other automobiles off the highway during his wild attempt to escape. He was killed instantly."
