Caption: "Police Escape Death as Crash Squashes Patrol Car When this police car rolled over 2-1/2 times Wednesday morning in the 700 block S Western after being hit by another car, the two officers said they were "rattled around like dice in a cup," but somehow escaped injury. Every window but one was broken, and officers D. C. Sharber and W. H. Epperson said they came out of the wrecked car with each others gun in his holster. Only damage was to the officers' clothing, the scout car and the auto driven by Roy Clayton Howison, 22, of 21 SW 27."

The driver of the car, Glen Zennett Boggs, 17, Tinker air force base, was booked by police on complaints of reckless driving and having no driver's license. Dona Johnson, 17, of 536 SW 33, a passenger in Boggs' car, was taken to Hubbard hospital suffering shock and a bruised left leg, Another passenger, Gordon E. Doyle, 18, Tinker field, received a cut on the head. Two other passengers were not injured."

His body was found under a building near the prison canteen, less than 50 feet from the sergeant's office."
