Description: Photograph taken for a story in the Oklahoma City Times newspaper. Caption: "Death rode with young man on this motorcycle. another picture, Page II. A young man was killed and five other persons escaped serious injury Sunday night in a spectacular, flaming collision involving two motorcycles and two cars in Del City. The fatal explosion was witnessed by a Del City policeman, who arrived at the scene to find his wife and his own family car were involved. Dead is Farrel John Young, 21, of 1808 S Bryant, who suffered a broken neck. Del City Officer Don Phillips said he was on routine patrol, just before going off duty, when the crash occurred at 9:05 PM in the 3300 block Vickie Drive. Phillips said Young and another motorcyclist, Larry Wayne Stuart, 26, of 4736 Elmview -each with a teen-aged girl as a passenger- were drag racing north on Vickie. The officer said Young's cycle slammed into the right rear door of a car driven by David Lockler, 21, of 624 SW 59, who was making a left turn onto Woodview. Phillips said he had seen the two motorcyclists moments earlier from his vantage point on a rise. "I saw them speeding down through there, and saw the explosion, so I just took off down there," he said. Phillip said he saw the flaming bike shoot straight up into the air."
