Ray Jacoby opened his studio, Ray Jacoby's Photo Service, at 607 Shartel, Oklahoma City, in 1946. Specializing in commercial and aerial photography, Jacoby himself was a pilot.
About the Digital Collection
Focused mostly in Oklahoma City, the collection covers the decades from the 1940s to the 1970s. The subjects of the photographs are buildings and street scenes, events, transportation, restaurants, schools, hospitals, industries, and businesses. A few earlier photographs by other photographers are also included.
