The Cordell Beacon
History
In 1914, J. J. McCurley served as editor for the newspaper and Roy B. Macdonald served as manager. Richard A. Billups served as president of the Beacon Publishing Company. It was published every Thursday. A subscription was $1.00 for one year or $0.50 for six months. A sample copy could be received on application. In 1919, the cost for a yearly subscription went up to $1.50.
