WILL ISSUE BIG
CHRISTMAS PAPER
The Times will issue a biff
Christmas edition which will be
different from the on her editions
it has issued in the past year.
It will contain very little adver-
tising outside of what it carries
regularly.
It will be mainly devoted to
Texhoma and and the counties of
Cimarron, Texas, Hansford and
Sherman.
It is our purpose to write up the
town showing the institutions it
now has and showing where other
institutions could be located heie
with profit to their promoters and
giving the reasons why the town
is the logical one by location to be
the real city of the Panhandle of
Oklahoma and Texas.
This paper wi'.l also give abun-
dant statements of facts in regard
to the agricultural conditions of
the country and its resources
In short the paper will be a big
boom edition for Texhoma and the
1 exhoma country. It is our pur-
pose to issue several thousand ex
tra papers to supply the demand
coming from the real estate deal-
ers and others who want the rest
of the world to know the true con-
ditions existing here.
We will need the co-operation of
very business man here to help
make this edition what we want it
to be.
Hon. F M. Mckinney of Hurley
was here the first of the week. Mc
is one of the original boomers of
Hurley. He thinks his town will
still be a good one after the now
Santa Fe railroad builds through
it And everything now looks
like that road will soon be built
built through Cimarron and Texas
counties.

Oklahoma.
This thriving little city already
the best in the county needs sever-
al more industrial institutions.
They would be mouey makers for
their owners. And the town ab-
solutely needs them.
Here are a few:
Water works.
Electric Light and Power Plant
Ice and Ice Cream factory.
Broom Factory.
Creamery.
Flour Mill.
Cold Storage Plant.
Furniture Factory.
Cigar Factory.
Farmers' Wa-ehouse.
Everyone of the above could be
made to pay handsomely here.
And these institutions here
would help boost the city's mer-
cantile and real estate business to
heights never before dreamed of.
Who is there here that will holp
push the enterprise along? Who
will get in connection with parties
who would desire a location for
any of the above establishments.
Industrial institutions of this kind
can be brought here if the proper
effort would be made to show their
demand.
Isn't it time to think about these
things.

SHOU LD ADVERTISE TEX-
AS AND CIMARRON
COUNTIES.
The Capitalists of The North
and East Ready to Buy.
A systematic plan of advertising
should be devised and then carried
out to attract the attention of the
capitalists from the north and
east to Toxas and Cimarron coun-
ties. The northern people are
ready to buy—only they want to
know. They arc buying lands
every day in the Texas Panhandle
and paying practically double for
which good lands can bo pur-
chased on the Oklahoma side of
the line, The Oklahoma lands are
as good if not better than the
Texas lands—only they have
never boen advertised. And the
real estate dealers and land own-
ers of Oklahoma should get to
work and advertise this part of
Oklahoma
A few hunared dollars spent in
judicious advartistng would bring
a 1000 per cent returns. Someone
start th good work along.
NEW SCHOOL BUILDING
TO BE STARTED AT ONCE
Abram Williams of Rally was
here to make proof on his claim
last Monday. He was accompa-
nied byE. J. Williams and S. T.
Bailee who were his witnesses.
Theo Woods of Hurley was here
last Monday.
Texhoma's now school building
is now an assured fact. Work on
the same is to commence imme-
diately.
It will be 53x77 feet, three stories
and basement. The material to
be used is Coffevillo brick; it will
be finished in hardwood.
The building will contain 13
rooms besides it will have numer-
ous closets, spacious halls, etc.
In every way it will be tho best
finished and equipped school
building in the northwest part of
the state. The contract has been
let to It. W. Holvie of Kansas
City, whose bid was ,$1000 loss
than his nearest competitor.
The contract specifies that the
building must be completed with-
in four months from the time work
is started. The work will be start
ed sometime next week.
The contractor will give all the
work he possibly can to Texhoma
people. And this will help to
make business good for awhile
during the winter and spring
months.
The local school board com-
posed of Messrs. McAdams, Pot-
tinger and Aycook are to be com-
mended for closing a contract for
such a large and fine building at
such a nominal cost. But all
along they have appreciated that
they are the servants of the peo-
ple and they have always kept
one purpose in viow and that was
to furnish the best building for the
least possible cost.
Tho Mr. Helvle contractor has
returned to Kansas City to make
his bond and which of course will
have to be approved by the board
before work begins.
The funds coming from the sale
of the school lands will bo placed
in the hands of S. G. McAdams,
treasurer of the board to be paid
out as the work on the school
building progresses.
Cant. S. A. Kennedy of Garllng-
ton was here looking after busi-
ness interests Thursday. He
knows Texhoma is a good town
and that is why he oomes here so
often.
W. H. Miles went to Kansas
City yosterday afternoon to be
gone about a week.
R. W. Helvie, a contractor of
Kansas City, came in last Sunday
afternoon to see about his bid for
the building of the new school
house.

Texhoma Oklahoma.
I honestly believe that, on account of my thorough knowledge of general conditions
in Northwestern Oklahoma and contiguous territory and of my acquaintance with the
land and people comprising same, I am better prepared to safely take care of your land
loan and insurance business than any other agent or agency. I have been in your
midst now about two and one half years and during this time I have studied thoroughly
everything pretaining to my business, and I believe that my experience in this line Is
sufficient, and that my way of dealing with my customers is fair enough for me to feel
that I have the right and privilege of asking for a share of your business.
I have for the benefit of my customers a very large and choice list of deeded farms
and town lots. In these I have numbers of rare bargains for the man looking for a
home and plenty of good profit bearing propositions for the investor; and I am always
looking for more and better ones. I give the very best attention to the handling of
securities. I ti oat mortgages on farm lands and in turn sell these securities to the in-
vestor, and in this way I asBistthe land owner in obtaining what money he needB |for
improvements, etc., and furnish a safe and profit bearing investment for the man with
money to loan. I desire to inorease my loan business and I invite inquiry and olose
investigation of my method of handling this class of securities by the man who is seek-
ing investments of this character. My business at all times is confidential. I boast of
having a good clientage and I strive to hold and enlarge same by dealing with them
fair and honorably.
If you have a farm for sale—if you have a lot for sale—if you want to borrow money
or have money to invest—see or write me. I keep an open office and when you are in
Texhoma I want you to make my office your headquarters.
Yours very respeotfully,
W. H. OLDS.
