LINGO-TBIPLKTT tragedy.

gether incorrect, but it was publish-
ed jn*t as given to us.
The true facts in tbe case are as
follow. Lingo had been boarding
with Triplet! foi sometime,and on
the morning "f the tragedy, went
to old man Tripletl's for some meat
and laid he had there; also for a
. ettlement. Triplelt wanted to
charge him twenty-five centB a day
for board, but Lingo refused to pay
it. Triplett would not allow him
to take the meat and lard away un
til he had settled. Lingo went and
broke the «m kebou*e door down
j and took the meat and lard. Trip
lett ran in the hou-e and got bis
gun. but a m*n by the name of Tal-
ly took it from him. Lingo man-
aged to get the gun from Tally and
knocked Triplett down with it then
