part of Michigan, President Taft
turned aside from politics today and
spent an enjoyable afternoon In
Nault Hie. Marie. He made a brief
address to the people In front of the
eal armory, but confined himself to
local topics. He promised the people
of "Lock City" that he would give his
attention to the water power situa-
tion here and would see that the
long disputed subject was settled.
Many of the industries of the city
have been retarded upon restrictions
on the use of water.
Mr. Ta't took special interest in
