Shaughnessy vs.

Everything has been arranged at
Tulsa for a match between Pete
Shaughnessy, the most popular welter
In the southwest, and Paul Roman,
tho coast champion, to meet before
Harry Pouder's club on July fourth.
Theso lads should and doubtless will

lloth Boys in Training.
According to the Tulsa papers Ro-
man and Shaughnessy are both In
hard training doing both road and
gym work and no trouDle Is antlct
pated In their making the required
142 pounds at 3 o'clock on the day of
the bout. It Is not stated whether the
fight will occur In the afternoon or In
the evening. The seml-wlndup will be
furnished by Tip Gross and young
Allen, the latter a new acquisition to
the colony of Tulsa pugs
Sliaugliiiessy Popular llero.
Pete Shaughnessy has many local
admirers and warm personal friends
In Muskogee and It is quite likely that
many of these may go over to see
their favorite In action. AH of them
will pull hard for Pete to win. Roman
comes fro rnthe coast with a splendid
record and will undoubtedly give the
Fort Worth lad a stiff argument, but
Its this kind of game that Shaugh
