The Conners company has two
wells eomplettd to shallow oil
and will legin on ott ers as si on
as rigs can be moved and ad-
justed. It is the purt-ose of this
company to bore a number of
shallow wells and put them all
on one pump as socrn as a suffi-
cient number can be completed,.
They expect at least two more
to be completed within the next
60 days.
Work still continues on the
Huling-Geers well. They ex-
pzet to reach the Nation oil
sand in a short whi'e and are
guarding against the inflow of
salt water as they proceed.
The ENT well, nV.-fth east of
town has commenced drilling
and that section isrticw being
va ched by oil men.
Enid Gaibcr we!!,, six miles
north west, have let the contract
to drill a 3000 feet hole and cele-
brated the occasion with a big
turkey.dinrer, on TI ankrgiying
day.
Union Dale.
Dan Peeveler was called to
Rush Springs "Monday, by the
death of his son Lewis, who died
at 1:30 Monday* morning. He
was quite well ^known in this
community, having lived here a
few years ago.
The box supper at Rocky Hid
was well attended Friday night
and the proceeds were about $70
Bill Ferris and family came in
Saturday evening, after a visit
with relatives and friends in
northern Oklahoma anp Kansas.
Rose D^rks has recovered from
diptheria and the family are out
of quarantine at last.
Word comes from Conway,
Kansas, that Clifford Faulkner
is sick with dipihtria. The
Faulkner family left here ten
days ago for a visit there.
Ruth and Mabel Berner and
Doris Albright spent the week
end with home folks.
Frank Shoey and family came
in from the oil fields last week
and expect to farm here next
year.
