This happy event came as a complete
surprise to t he most of t he host of
friends of thisesl unable couple. Mrs.!
Hlaek is Covington's popular milliner
a;,d has a mult it tide of friends, not on-
ly here but in the various places
where she has resided. Mr. Hlaek is a
prosperous grain merchant of this
place, having elevators here and at
Lucien and Wag ron. To know him is
to he his friend. They will be at
home to their friends after July 10th.
The Leader unites with their many
friends in wishing for them the best
that life affords with as little of the
bad as possible. May all their paths

tilled with sunshine, with just enough
of cloud to teach full appreciation.
Covington Leader.
Mr. and Mrs. Hlaek visited in Mat-
shall, Sunday, and received the con-
gratulations of their many fti Is.
We don't know Mr. Black so well
down here but Marshall has the ut-
most respect and affection for Mrs.
Hlaek, and the best w ishes of every-
one will be with them const!
their new home.
Two or three cats are said to have
made the trip successfully, but one
old Tommy, not being used to such
high altitudes, died of heart lailure. |
