invited to enjoy it. We believe all
who come will remember the day with
pleasure.
The Old Soldiers Come First.
First of all must come the boys who j
fought, thai this republic might live.
It is their day, and at the shrine of
the living heroes we must worship,
t hi the sepulchre of the dead we must
pause and drop a tear, ever remember-
ing that it was for us that they fought
and bled and died.
Their part of the dav will begin at
nine o'clock in the morning when de-
tachments will l>e sent, to the three
neighboring cemeteries lo pay tlieir
jinnual tribute of respect to tlieir de-
parted comrades. This done t he vet-
erans and those who accompany them
will return to town for dinner.
At one o'clock the services will be-
«in in the opera house. The program
has not at this writing been entirely
completed, bvt we teel safe in saying
it will lie an excellent one Tliesehool
children will take part with drills and
songs, and a program that will be
highly entertaining will he rendered.
Mrs. Dr. M unger, of Oklahoma City,
will tie one of the speakers and the
old.soldiers expect to get another at
Lawton, this week, where a numlier
of them are attending the A. it.
reunion. The program will not be
lacking in anything.

About thirty of our citizens were
subpoenaed to appear before the coun-

gainst tlie same being granted, alleg-
ing that Mr. Bourger's petition con-
tained non-resident and non-t.axpa.v-
ing signers, and that, he was not, of j
good moral character. The case was j
hard fought on both sides.
The county commissioners ha ve fa- j

Bad Business.
Charlie Ward and Albert Myers got j
into an altercation after church, last
Sunday evening, and Ward struck My-

Myers' head was badly cut and lie will |
