SHIPMENTS OF
HARDWOOD FROM
IDABEL GROWS
The shipment of hardwood from
Idabel is growing in importance and
is one of the town's most valued as-
sets. Great quantities of this native
timber is being piled up on the rail-
road right-of-way awaiting shipment,
and the industry gives employment
to a large number of men and teams
anj serves to distribute considerable
money in Idabel and surrounding
country. The supply is great, close
in and helps to bridge over the dull
times between crops.

The Hustlers class were entertain-
ed Friday evening with a "Plain
Clothes Party" in the parlors of the
Methodist church with the hostesses,
Misses Ruth Harbison and Irene
Bookout and Cleo Mitchell. Ok!

hostesses served lemonade and sand-
wiches.

Houston Pvron is the owner of the
Piedmont Cafe, ar.d like all other hu-
mans has a birthday once a year. The
twentieth came to him Sunday and
Mr. Pyron celebrated the event by
giving a supper, inviting Miss Bessie
Moore, Miss Lucille Cheek and Claud
Wade to be his guests.
The event was a delightful affair
and his young friends showered him
with good wishes for his continued
business success.
NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Bids for the erection of a one room
school house in district 25 will be op-
ened on Friday, April 15, 1921, at 2
o'clock at the First National Bank in
Broken Bow. All bids must be ac-
companied by a certified checks for 5
per cent of the bid; successful bid-
der shall make surety bond for the
entire contract price. Plans and spec-
ifications may be seen in the office
of the County Superintendent or at
the house of the clerk of the school

creased materially and many new de-
partments added, but General Mana-
ger I. S. Mahan promises an amuse-
ment and racing program second to
none in 1921 fairdom. The planting
of evergreen and the building of sev-
eral rew driveways, together with
the renovating and re-locating of the
swine barns and poultry and other
buildings, have greatly enhanced the
fair grounds which cover more than
160 acres.
