Mr. Edwards' sermon
topic will be "Complete
Freedom.”
Mr. Edwards, a native
of Alabama, organized the
Providence Church of the
Nazarene in 1958. Three
years later, he collaborat-
ed with children’s court
Judge Homer Smith and
other prominent citizens
and clergymen in estab-
lishing the Good Samari-
tan Home for spiritual
and moral rehabilitation of
youths.
Mr. Edwards received
his education at Talladega
College, Talladega, Ala.,
and Wayne University, De-
troit. He has taught Negro
spiritual music at the Uni-
versity of Oklahoma.

Will Stress Periods
Sacred music from various periods will
be heard Sunday when Westminster Pres-
byterian Church’s adult and youth choirs,
accompanied by brass and string ensem-
bles, present the church's annual choir
festival.
T’he 4 p.m. concert will be in the church
sanctuary. 4400 N Shan cl.

man said the program will open with Gio-
vanni Gabrieli’s "Canon Semtimi Toni’’
Or brass ensemble and organ.
This selection will follow the Moravian
and Lutheran customs of proclaiming the
coming of the King with brass fanfares.
The brass quintet includes Michael Lee-
i per and James Ratchel. trumpets; and
f Joseph Lake, William Kitchen and Fred
I Fulmer, trombones.
'. James McGaughy. Westminster's or-
ganist, will accompany.
Oklahoma City cellist Ted Warner has
assembled a string ensemble to accompa-
ny the adult choir in Mozart's “Laudate
Dominum” and a Vaughan Williams ar-
rangement of the Doxology. "All People
That On Earth Do Dwell.”
String players include John Westman,
James Brakebill, Paul Child. Michael
Reaves and Don Willis.
Trumpets will accompany the junior
high boys' choir and the antiphonal choirs
in "Sing Hosanna in the Highest" and
Alder's arrangement of Psalm 150.
The Carol. Melody and Cherub < h.l-
dren's choirs will sing "Hosanna to the
Son of David" and the Vulpius "Christ's
Holy Morn."
A reception will follow in the church's
social hall, where Dr. G. Raymond Camp-
bell. minister, will present choir awards
for attendance and achievement.

from Waco. Texas, will
open an eight-day revival
Sunday in Kentucky Ave-
nue Baptist Church, 2702 S

and week nights at 7:30.
Vestal also will be preach-
ing Monday through Fri-
day at 10 a.m.
Vestal, 23, has conducted
325 revivals in the United
States, and in 1964, led a
crusade in the Philippines

for 17 years.

serving as European rep-
resentative for the Assem-
