At half past 9 o'clock this morning
the United States Marshal, T. it. Nee-
dles, called the court, aud the Judge
ordered the jury called. All were
present except two. On calling for
cxcuscs some six were excused for
various reasons and tho rest instructed
to be in calling distance.
The court appointed Messrs. Hinds,
I*dbetter, Wisdom aud Owen as a
oommittco to consider motions for
admissions to the bar under the rules
formulated at the April term. The
Hubstance of the rules is that oue must
have licenses to practice in the su-
preme courts of some states or iu some
Federal courts or else shall be required
to staud examination.
A motion was Hird by Prosecuting
Attorney Waldron for the summons
of a grand jury and a brief of author-
ities supporting it wax submitted.
The roll of attorneys was called ami

spoken. Mr. llobt. Meigs arose. He
compared the state of tho neighbor-

rents and people to work w ith the
teachers for the accomplishment of
further food of the school. Many
eyes were suffused with tears when he
referred to the contemplated separa-
tion of their pastor from his flock, lie
is expected soon to go to another

tion. that no minister of the gospel
has done more good lu proportion to

placed on the ciuilt by contributing
ten cents towards the purchasing of
the bell Thus the composite spread
was completed, but it was not gener-

Mrs. Carrie Itoss, lu accordance with

dles, presented tho "Bell Quilt, ac-
companied with appropriate remarks,
