If you but! been out to Sports-

—Sunday afternoon you might
have thought Roger Bresnahan
had brought his famous St. Louis
Cardinals to Konawa for spring
training. The Cardinals finished
in first place—up side down last
year, you know.
But it wasn't the Cards at the
park Sunday. Just the Hardto
ketch and Groatem teams warming
up a bit for the opening of the
Whirlwiud league.
Konawa will win the rag this
year, sure, we think. \ ou'd have
thought so too if you'd been at
the park. The boys scooped 'em
up in friz-frazzling style and the
pitchers—oh, but they nad smoke

he will. He is going wild to tlash

Konawa has two teams in the

big for one—and the tans around

For the month of January the
receipts of the secretary of state's
office exceeded all past records in
history of either the territory or
the state of Oklahoma.
The cash receipts for the month
were more t hau five thousand dol-
lars. At this rate of increase it is
believed that the new year will
show receipts aggregating seven
hundred and fifty thousand dol-
lars.
The business of the office has
increased so rapidly that the pres-
ent force has been found entirely
inadequate. Secretary of State
Cross is asking for additional help
and points to the business done
as the best argument for his re-
quest. The office is one of the
money makers of the administra-
tion.

Dear Sir:—I will now try to
tell you my many thanks I have
toward you for your kindness to
me in fitting my glasses and also
for relieving me of headache
which I had suffered with many
months. I called at your office
and inquired of you if you could *
fit me some glasses and without
any doubt you did fit my glasses
and relieve my head and it has
it has not bothered me since. 1
do not know how I could get
along without my glasses. At
the first time I turned my at-
tention to glasses, I had then
waited far too long for I could
not thread a needle or read on
dark days and I tried many times
to look through other's glasses
and could not see. 1 thought then
that I never could get glasses
that I could see through. That is
why I called on you and you
certainly fitted the glasses per-
fectly and I will do all I can to
help suffering people to come to
