".Miili, I!MM5 Soveral things are contri i

market this week. The usual shortage
of finished cattle at this season is the I
reason, the small supply for the two j
days of 1K,<)00 head, the anxiety of buy• i
ers about prospects for the supply of |
good cattle for the next few rnont is, ,
which lias strengthened the confidence j
of feeders, and bettor outlook for pas-
tures and growing corn, all work to j
pother for the benefit of sellers. Good
to choice steers and the host of heifers
are lf to 25 cents higher than close of
last week A single steer sold at $(1.00
today, three loads at $5.1)0 and seven
loads at $."> <0, and about all the desir-
able steers at $•"> 00 or better, hay fed
< oloradoes $3,25, top heifers $4 00 and
upwards. The best cattle have gut
most of the advance, but grass led cat
tie are easier Jo sell than last week, the
improvement of pastures lately having
decided many owners to hold their
cattle awhile. The host fed cows bring
$1 00 to medium grades between
$3.00 and $4 00, bulls $2.50 o $4,00,
Yeals are coming more freely from all
quarters, and the price dropped 25 cents
last week, but is firm at the decline
this week, best ones to %' ()()*
