FOR COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL

County High School in Hennessey
Kaough names have already been secured ,
to have the election called, but a num-
ber of petitions are stil! being oircu ;
lated.
The County High School proposition
was t;iken up a couple of weeks ago by
the Hennessey Commercial Club, and
the club has been aggressively pushing
ii ever since The first petitions were
given to members of the club at their
meeting last Friday night, and by Sat-
urday evening about 700 names had
been secured A committee el sixteen
or eighteen from tbo club went to King-
fisher Monday, and two or three hun-
dred earnes were seeured there. Man
with petitions are working in all of the
townships iu the county, and by Mon
day, when the petitions go to the hoard
of county commissioners, tt is thought
that they will contain something like
fifteen hundred names It only re-
quires ien or twelve hundred names to
call the election.
l'lie establishing el a county high
school will he a great benelit to the en
tire county, and the indications at the
present time are that tho proposition
will carry by a large majority. When
the election is held, a thorough canvas
of all the precincts will bo made. There
seems to po very little opposition to the
proposition
