Married
Mr. Harold Finch and Miss
Bess England were married at
Oklahoma City on Tuesday of
last week, and will make their
future home in that city.
These young people formerly
lived in Carter and have a large
number of friends here. The
parents of each of them also live
in Carter. Harold is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Finch, and
the bride is the daughter of Mr.
W. B. Eng'and and wife,apd both
families are numbered among the
very best citizenship of Carter.
The many friends of the young
couple extend to then their
hearty congratulations.
Mr. R. J. Jones and wife came
hack the last of last week from
Lubbuck, Texas, where they had
been to see their daughter Mrs.
Self, who underwent an opera-
tion while they were out there.
They report that her condition
was much better when they left
for home. On their return
home Mr. Jones stopped over
i-one night at Amarillo with
bis old friend Mr. S. L. Gamblin.
Mr. Gamblm’s son Reg had just
returned to Amarillo the day
before with a new bride, whom
he married down in his old home
country.

C. C. Lewellen of Carter, came
in from Wichita Falls, Saturday,
and stopped over a while with
Mr. Lewellen before going on
to his home at Sayre.
