Carter Express,
Geo. W. Cain, Editor:
I though I would write a few
lines to my home paper. I am
visiting my old home county and
seeing my acquaintances of my
boyhood. Am seeing a good
time, plenty of good things to
eat and lots of fish. Wish you
were here to help me eat fish
The crops are late here on ac-
count of wet cold weather. Had
to p’ant cotton over. Oats look
fine. There is good water to
drink and wood to burn, and
plenty of ftuit. This is a healthy
i country and people seem to en-
joy the nselves. Will close wish-
ing you a happy time.
Your friend,
Robt. L Ward.

Poarch Items
Ora, Oza and Velma Bilbrey
visited Miss Rose at Weatherford
Sunday.
We have just been informed
that Miss Thornton, one of
Poarch’s former teacheis had
married.
We forgot last week to report
the arrival of a baby girl, Billy
Louise, to Mr. and Mrs. Horace
Wilhelm.
L. Street and family attended
Quarterly meeting at Canute
Sunday.
The Quarterly meeting at Zion
Chapel for the latter part of the
week over Sunday, has been
called off on account of the meet-
ing at Carter and singing school
at Poarch.
We were sorry to learn that
some were disapointed last Sun-
day night for singing at Poarch,
some coming from Port. The
singing was called in as a lot of
the folks wished to go to Carter
to the meeting.
Henry Davis, Ray Riley and
families, old Poarch settlers,
were over from Ft. Cobb, for
Decoration Day and to visit old
friends and relatives.

It costs less
to paint
than to repair
A coat of good paint on your barns and other out-
buildings costs you a lot less than the repairs you’ll have
to make if you don’t paint in time. Don’t let the weather
get a chance at your bam—don’t let it get bare and
dingy looking. Paint now—with Lowe Brothers Bam
Paint. It cc era and hides better than ordinary paints.
That makes it cost less at first. And it holds its color and
wears longer too. That makes it cost less in the end.
