School Children Pick
Cotton One Day
Last Friday was cotton pick-
ing day with the pupils of the
Junior and Senior High School
of the Carter district. They
met at the school house as usual
but insteadfOf school books they
carried cotton sacks and were
carried to the cotton patches in
the school trucks, some walking
to the nearer patches. Each
class was under the supervision
of a teacher and the proceeds of
the day’s picking will apply on
the fund for the ntw Community
building. The pupils are doing
good work in every way they
can to help build and pay for the
new building ahd are eagerly
looking forward to the time, in
the near future when they will
begin to enjoy the benefits of
same.
