Maj. Kilgore has built a new
chicken stable and otherwise im-
proved Dr. Muryhy’s premises.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Cupp are at
home to their friends in the house
vacated by Joe Covey.
The three first letters of his
name is Tim, and we would say
to him to be very careful of stick-
ers along the “Thorny” pathway
of life.
A. F. Hendricks is still away
on business.
The lumber for the piling is
hauled out for the bridge East of
Warren.
Praicc God from whom all
blessings flow. Praise Him all
creatures here below. We had a
fine rain Saturday and oats sow-
ing which was in full headway
will be given a new impetus and
and how the garden sass will be-
gin to show up will almost make
angels weep this about the best
old world that we have ever seen
after all.
J. W. and Cordy Howaer re
ceived a telephone message Sat-
urday that their step sister, Mrs.
Ora Howland had pneumonia and
not expected to live. Cordy left
Saturday night for Wellington,
Texas, to see her.
The father of his Country can
look down the stream of time
and see all classes size and con-
ditions do honor to his memory
on Feb. 22nd., our school is going
to the Navajoe Mts., in his honor
don’t you wish you were father
of some country, Selah.
Had to put off birthday on ac-
count of rain Monday.
We observed John Gates going
all the gates along the street
Sunday and was puzzled but low
and behold a new gate of the fe-
male persausion had come to his
house to stay, all parties doing
well.
Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Hunter
and Elbert went to Frederick
Friday to visit Mrs. Hunter’s
parents Mr. and Mrs. Chivers.
Jay Hunter went to Hobart
with a load of chickens to mar-
ket, it seem they pay more there
than on this side.
Master Lester Whorton visited
his Cousin Sybil Hunter Sunday.
K. R. Womack visited at Rex
Hunters Friday.

PATRONIZE OUR ADVERTISERS. IT WILL PAY U
THE FATE OF THE BLAIR 6IRLS
For the especial benefit of the
people at large
I invite this lay without one cent
of charge.
I will take into consideration the
boys of Blair
And tell you just what funny
creatures they “air”
Charlie Castles is the first on the
list,
He is a fellow any girl would be
glad to kiss,
But everybody knows Charlie is
too proper and theoretical
To do a thing that was so terri-
bly disrespectable.
Charlie’s clotest and most noted
friend
Is that little demon Howell Zinn
Howell is loved by all the girls
far and wide
But he leaves us broken hearted
even Alice Boyd
Though we think our hearts are
broken and our hope gone
We feel a little better when Ral-
ph Marlin comes along
Now we are just as crazy about
Ralph as we can be
But if anybody can get him they
can sure beat me
Mack McWhorter would be per-
fectly alright, you know
If he didn't only just think so.
Then his brother Carl is old eno-
ugh to be married, but Edith
Steeds thinks ahead, too long he’s
trained, while I sit here thinking
of someone that would be loving
and kind, old Mart Kizzar comes
to my mind, but he wouldn’t go
with anybody or me or you, not
even if you would go and ask
him to. The his little brother Roy
is as cute as any child, and just
think, you can get him to laugh
once in a while, but lam worried
and half the time in a trance.
Afraid some one will get him be-
fore I get the chance, and now
there is Marion Beard. The queer-
est of them all. He is blooming
short, I wonder why he looks so
tall. It is a fact that he went to
the social on Washington’s birth-
day. But I think Buren Walker
went along and paid his way.
Another one of these queer
