A very pleasant and profitable day wos
spent by the Methodist ladies Thuraday at
the Baptist church in an all d ay session
of the missionary society. At the noon
hour a lunch was served to the ladies and
their husbands.
Word from Miss Bell Cannon, who has
been in a Kansas City hospital, says she
would leave the hospital Monday and go
to an aunt at Gilliam for n visit. He
many friends here are pleased to hear of
her improvement.
Mrs, Jonn Rollins, west of town was a
Pryor visitor Tuesday and was enteitain
ed at the home of Mrs, Frank Watts, She
was accompanied by her daughter. Mrs.
Jessie Saning, who left on No. 10 for h“r
home in Arkansas.
S.P. Ferguson of Adair was down Tues
day night, wearing a broad smile, Hr
said he had rather carry his own precinct
than he elected county commissioner and
lose it. He carried Adair by about ten
votes over J, B. Dunham.
Oh ye dust of the filthy ways of some
politicians which blew in Wednesday noon
and almost frightened the life out of inno-
cent ones on the streets of Pryor. It was
a mean dust storm and here's hoping it
blew the meaness all away and left none
to take root another year,
