n.iry city. Mere a bundle of live wires have been working
dnigenily for years making this the Mecca metropolis of
()klalioma.
A little more than five years ago when these human
bees of industry were alert and watching for every oppor-
tunity !o boost their home town, they siezed on the idea
of a fair.
M hen they did so this hustling bunch of boosters had
a cieat many perplexing problems to solve. The first
thing the}- bad to do was to iist their country’s assets. The
■y !U‘r 'y farming country and progressive agriculturists,
1 1,11 fudds and wells in operation and the commercial
aspect which the town was assuming as it grew in leaps
and hounds, were some of the items considered.
Alter investigating the farming and farmers, the
workers saw the great possibilities which awaited the fair’s
coming. 1 he farmers were thirsting for something of this
so, t. ! -eing intelligent tillers of the soil, they were anxious
t<' have a s rt u clearing house where they could exhibit
their products and exchange ideas.

gamg on tnc part of the fair boosters. That was one way
y.h'.cn they demonstrated level-headed business methods.

involved in a proposition of which they knew little.
Alter visiting a number of the best fairs in the middle
