Dallas—A temporary Injunction re-
straining the attorney-general and
uther state officers of Texas from en-
forcing the anti-pool hall law which
'Quid have closed billiard and pool
halls in the state May 1, was issued
by United States District Judge
James C. Willson. The order was is-
sued upon application of the Dallas
labor temple association, Roce Hotel
Company of Houston, Baker Hotel
Company of San Antonio, Driscoll
Hotel company of Austin, and others..
The plaintiffs attacked the law as
denying them due process and equal
protection of law as outlined In the
first clause of the fourteenth amend-
ment tft the constitution of the
United States. In issuing the in-
junction Judge $Vllson upheld the
plaintiffs contention, declaring “ir-
reparable loss or damage would re-
sult to the plaintiffs unless a tem-
porary restraining order Is granted.”
