I they would reach their destination they
would be healed. The letters must have
exercised great faith; for Instead of
crying out for flmtantnneous healing,
they, .started for the priest.

Ten Hoaled—Where Were the Nine?
Jesus called public attention to the i
fact that only one of the ten healed
had returned to give glory to God.
True, lie had not asked them to ac-
knowledge the Divine Power that
wrought through Illm. True, they had
done exactly what He h*d told them to
do. But why did He not bargain with
them, saying. If I heal you. will you
become My disciples? Why did not He
take this method of adding to the num-
ber of His disciples?
posed to pursue the ambitions and the
pleasures of the present life. Neglect-
ing to take the path which the Master
trod, they will not reach the glory, hon-
or aud immortality which lie uttftin-
»sl and to which He has called all ol
His followers.
Many Christian people are growing
in the opinion that we are living today
In a time of crucial trial as respects
those who have made a covenant with
God. They believe that we are near-
ing the time when the Church, the Body
of Christ, will be received by the Lord
in the Resurrection change to be Hi*
Bride.
The preaching orr.-sus and the Altos
ties Is In strong contrast with much
of the preaching of evangelists, reviv-
alists, etc. Never did Jesus or the
Apostles urge worldly people to In-
come disciples of Ghrist. They merely i
declared certain great facts, and nc
oepted those who were thus Influenced

The sermon, waich was deliver
ed by Kev' Alexander pastor of
the Pi •ibyteriun church of Bar-
tlesville, was a masterpiece of
thought aud oratory aud direct-
ed the audience especially the
young graduates and those who
were to graduate in the future,
to a life of usefulness.
The speaker impressed upon
their minds the deep responsi-
bilities of life that would con-
front the rising generation and
also told of the great advantages
hi be derived from a finished edu
cation, and the wonderful things
accomplished by our public
school system. He paid high
tribute to the public school spir-
it of the people of Copan, and
congratulated us upun our splen-
did accjiuplizmeatj.
The real heart of his message
was brought out when he told of |
the groat sac: if ce-s that were j
tti'i !■• by parents in the education j
of ti.eii'r i.dren and urged the
young people to make use of
ti. • opportunities and to not
fo./or. or -.<* unappreciative of
: o sacrifices made in their be-
half.
Rev. Alex: nder is a sj kniJ
sp-akor and his sermon was full
of good things from start to fin
ish aud we do act see how any
one could fail to be benefited who
had the pleasure of listening to
him.
The song service was good and
the addition of several instru-
ments iu the choir was much ap-
preciated by the cunkregation
as also v.as tne chorus of young j
girls.
The audience was more thar.;
glad to have our beloved pastor,;
itev. Robinson with them and able
to participate in the evening, his
closing prayer was full of good
tilings for everyone and espe-
cially for this community and
the young people in particular.
We trust we may have many
more such pleasant and profit-
able occasions.
