regular session Feb. 8th and 9th
1616. Present, J. R. Beeman,
H. M. Welch and E. H. George.
The reports of oounty officials
were approved. The following

Another Birthday Party.
On Monday nigh about 65
gathered at the home of Mr.
and Mrs, Gaffany to help Miss j
Cooley and Elmon Gaffaney cele-1
brate their birthdays, both be-
ing on unlucky thirteen. But
from the number of greetings
each received from so many
good friends one would think it
was lucky thirteen
The evening was spent in
games in which young and old
engaged. Miss Cooleys young
pupils almost making the young
folks stand back, they put so
much energy and heartiness in
their games.
All certainly enjoyed the mus-
ic on harp, piano and guitar.
The Hart Brothers won the ad-
miration of all by playing harp
and guitar or harp and piano at
Che the same time. Some excel-
lent vocal pieces by some of tht
young ladies were also good.
Light refreshments were serv-
ed. At a we small hour they
)egan to realize they were tired
ind think of home and sleep
md next days school work.
Miss Cooley said 6he was glad
her birthday only came once a
/ear she was so tired, but Elmon
vished his came every week. It
mrely was a treat to see such a
jolly crowd with so much hearty
rood will and good behavior.
Mt. Olive is justly proud of
her neighborhood. “Here’s
