ANY salesmen now trav-
el in automobiles. You
see dozens of cars every day
bearing the trade-marks of
well-known manufa&urers and
jobbers in all lines. These
cars must cover hundreds of
miles every week. They require
uniformly good gasoline for eco-
nomical power and good oil
for proper lubrication. A sur-
prisingly large number of these
salesmen use Marland Pro-
ducts exclusively. Wherever
you buy them, Marland Oils

Song of the
Lazy Farmer.
Mirandy say-' to m*. says she.
“Your feet are muddy as can be.
let’s have a scraper a* the door
and not track up my kitchen floor.
While you are at it you might
take that pi<e of ashes there and
make a walk out yonder through
the mire, and cut some wood to
build the fire, and carry water *
from the pump, a-slopping in j
your boots each jump: when that J
is done I want to see you turn j
the wash machine for me.” •
I looked at her in pained sur- 1
prise; Mirandy never blinked
her eyes; but told me plainly she
ner eyes; uui umu me piamu j
was done a-doing this hard work
for fun, from this time on I’d
have ts do just what she said, for
she was .through. I never said a |
word but went and got a load of |
good cement to build a walk and
cellar floor; I saw Mirandy Jane
was sore and if I didn't want a
fight I’d better fix the place up
right. I put a water system i n
and had the hired man begin to
dig a drain so that the slop could
run down hill without a stop. I
got an engine and a belt, for
from Mirandy’s looks I felt that
if I didn’t, all my life. I’d turn
j the washer for my wife. Now
everything is fixed up fine, I sit
and smoke this pipe of mine, and
shiver ev'ry time I think how
near she put me on the blink.
Now when my wife wants any-
! thine I get it for her quick, by
jins!
