"Kind me a justice for Oklahoma; I

the remark the attorney general
made to BeDator Vilas. The senator

The presentation of "Fritz in a
Madbouso" at Boyd's last evening by
Mr. J. K. Emmet and an excellent
support deserved a liberal patronage,
but owing to popular interest in the
Thurston reception, tbe theatrical
attractions suffered in this respect.
In the role of Fritz von Wolf-
enstcln, Mr. Kuimet has a splendid
opportunity for clever acting, spictd
with several catchy songs and some
graceful dancing. The name of Em-
met in this particular line of comedy
work is a magnet around which suc-
cess lias always clustered. However,
tbe popularity of Mr. Emmet is uot
wholly duo to public reverence for
tbe past glories of his distinguished
father, but bus been won fairly by
tbe meritorious and conscientious
work of an ambitious son.
The company of players which
surrounds the star, is with one or
two exceptions, a support of unusual
strength, Mr. Emmet evidently be-
lieves in the theory that the best is
uouo too good for American aud-
iences.—Omaha Bee.
